Howe Park Shooting Injures Multiple Gunshot Victims in Arden-Arcade Sacramento

Sacramento County deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred on the evening of April 18 at Howe Park while Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies were shutting down an unauthorized event of an estimated several hundred individuals.

Four People Shot

Doctors and nurses indicated that two of the four had injuries classified as immediate, one had moderate injuries, and one victim's wounds were minor. Evidence at the Scene

Most of the gunfire seemed to have unfolded on Cottage Way close to the local Home Depot at the 2200 block of Howe Ave. Detectives discovered additional shell casings on the Cottage Way roadway. Ballistic damage were observed in the wrought iron fence bordering the nearby Home Depot. The physical evidence indicated that at least one of the shooters had been aiming south from along Cottage Way aimed at the Home Depot building and parking lot. The Home Depot was locked down while law enforcement worked the area. CSI units alongside detectives remained on scene throughout the night.

Arrests Made

Details gathered through scanner monitoring established that a Kia connected to the shooting was contacted by law enforcement in the Solano County area. Four suspects were stopped and detained. Deputies were heading to pick up the four detainees to pick up those detained for formal questioning. Surveillance footage established that there were two gunmen.
